A little truth bomb for you… you can have a wedding on a budget and your wedding doesn’t have to break the bank. You can still have a drop-dead gorgeous wedding without spending tens of thousands of dollars. And whether you’re wanting something extravagant or simple, there are plenty of ways to make that vision come to life with hacks and DIY projects.
That’s what I wanted to share with you today. All of those little hacks and tips to help you save a fortune on your wedding day. So, if you’re someone who is ready to ball on a budget, be sure to scroll down below for more.
MAKE A PLAN
Planning is so important when planning a wedding on a budget. Be sure to sit down with your partner during a quiet time of day and figure out a budget/plan. List all of your most important needs and wants separately. Figure out what your wants and needs can be improvised or cut from the list. Prioritize your wedding venue as the biggest cost along with the food. Those are just two of the most important things at a wedding.
YOU CAN DIY A FEW THINGS
DIY’ing is not a bad thing. In fact, you can DIY a lot of things such as table decor, your arch, invites, etc. There is plenty that you can DIY! Though it may take a lot of time to do all of it, you will save a load of money. Go on apps like Pinterest, Youtube, or even Tik Tok for some inspiration/tutorials.
LIMIT YOUR GUEST LIST
The more guests you have, the more expensive the wedding. If you’re someone who doesn’t care about having a ton of people at your wedding, see if you can just have close friends and family invited.
GET MARRIED ON AN OFF DAY
You can talk to your wedding venue about getting married on an off day. This can be a random Tuesday or Wednesday but you can save hundreds of dollars by not getting married on a weekend. Most couples get married on weekends for convenience which is why it’s more expensive to get married on a weekend.
