Ways Your Photographer Goes Above & Beyond

Wedding TIp

When it comes to your wedding day, your photographer usually does a lot more than just show up and take photos. We play a lot of other roles too to go above and beyond to make sure your day is extra special. Weddings are a lot and can get stressful. There are a lot of moving parts involved and a lot of different hats that we wear to help be a part of the well-oiled machine that helps it all run.

So today I wanted to share some of the things we photographers do beyond photographing your day! Let’s get into it, shall we?

01. Timeline Creation

First things first, we help out with creating the timeline for your wedding day! From arrival to the exit, we can help out with planning it all. While if you have a coordinator or planner, they may help with this too, photographers have a unique perspective to share. We can tell you what the best time for your ceremony would be based on what time the lighting will be hitting the best, for example.

02. Getting to Know You

It is our job to really get to know you individually and as a couple. This way we can do justice to capturing your day and love story. Everything from how you met to what your favorite color is, is important to me! Having your story in mind helps us to capture sentimental pieces.

03. Being Your Right Hand Gal

We are also there for anything you may need! Need someone to touch up your makeup for you midway through the day? Or someone to make sure your dress is laid correctly at all times? That’s what we are here for!

04. Venue Research

It is also important for us to familiarize ourselves with your venue. This way we know all of the ins and outs of it to help in making the day run smoothly. We will typically go and scout it out prior to the day of if we haven’t shot there before. Scouting beforehand helps to spot all of the best photo op spots and so on!

05. Connecting with Other Vendors

Connecting with your other vendors and having open communication with them is also another your photographer does to help your day run smoothly. It’s so important for us to all work together to harmoniously execute your day!
